For me I don't try to grab them early so I just look at the IHUB home page and look at the percentage gainers on the Naz and Amex at about 9.30 my time (CST). Then when I find one getting volume and up quite a bit I will watch it for a couple of hours to get a feel for how it is trading. Then If it pulls back to a point where I think it is going to bounce I will jump in for a quick flip. I don't do it every day. Mostly when I am bored.
Etrade has a strategy scanner where you can set it up to find those getting volume earlier but I don't use it.
