My belief is that if you can't do a deal in six months, there is a problem that isn't going away. That could be money, or the product.

I am certain that ERHE gave the 6 month scenario just to get the ears and eyes of this IOC. Talks mean anything like " we'll think about it ( Don't hold your breath, guy). Six months have elapsed , and the exclusivity is gone( no big deal,sinc we weren't all that onterested in the first place)

The whole scenario benefitted ERHE ,by being able to PR the event, which in turn , instilled confidence.
