First of all, I doubt that you've ever stepped foot in a federal meeting. I've done business with the federal government for 25 years. Second, and this is just my opinion, the DoD and other federal civilian agencies would highly value this technology if they knew about it. My point is that there should be more than one industry that this IP would be appealing. More appeal, more interest, more desire to invest in this company.
I am not sure it's Transenterix who should be worried about this patent...this design looks a LOT like Intuitive's endowrist...
I keep getting the feeling that if Titan is successful in bringing SPORT to market that Anadeus could reappear soon after. A lot of the pieces of the puzzle for a multi quadrant robot are getting addressed during the SPORT development cycle. It certainly wouldn't be a stretch to see multiple SPORTs at the ends of the arms of a larger carrier robot.
