Of course he does. That's how these scams work. Find someone who has a "product" to promote, pay him off for the right to use it as a prop. The company and the guy with the "product" sell their shares, until no one is buying the BS anymore, and then the company moves on to some other product. BAYP has been particularly prolific - probably one of the all time winners in Pennyland of the "Most Scam Lines of Business Award". They win, hands down.
