Because before you buy a stock you need to read the filings, float is listed. I own many stocks, but ALWAYS do my own DD. I could say the float is 100 million, it's not, but how will you ever know. If you don't do your own DD you will not know the truth. The most valuable lesson a newbie can learn. Actually float is around 850 million, not to bad for a trip stock. Now, how do you know that statement is true???
