ben,

I just disagree with you stating things that the shorts can use as ammunition,.. and they will use it.

If you stated that you do not have enough technical information to make any qualified statement about ANY's technology... then best to state that simply and plainly.

But when you state it the way you did,... it gives plenty of fodder to the shorts (see bolded):

You make it sound that SINCE there is so much hype,.. therefore it is 100% NOT GOOD to buy. There are companies that are full of hype and still have great products/services etc,.. The fact that there is hype or not does not determine the quality of their products/services.

As a bystander with no interest in $ANY, I find some of the documents online to be full of hype. I saw an article from howtofindbigstocks.com, which seemed to be near zero technical content, and full of hyperbole and redundant claims. Obviously $ANY the company is not responsible for whatever junk is published about them online, but this just tells me there is too much misinformation out there on this stock. I worry for less technical folks who may be pulled in by some of this stuff on either the bull or bear side.

Sorry for the long post. If you don't want to read all that, my summary is:
- Too risk for longs, lots of hype literature online, I would stay away
- Also risky for shorts, because they're tiny and buying them would be pocket change for MSFT, even if the tech was no good. I would stay away from shorting it also.

I don't know why but when reading this it reminds me language used by Xuhua Zhou.
Ben, the way how you approach this discussion clearly has a negative undertone but let's give you the benefit of the doubt:
"web server instances" which ones? And did you read E.K. used the word applications? So what are you comparing???
"a demo of a hypervisor running 2000..."??? Do you think the VRTX was loaded with that same old hypervisor version???

In short, your comparison isn't helpful at all for this discussion.
We do know that the performance of GW during the test at Dell World was confirmed by highly ranked Dell staff and that's good enough for me.

No further comments from my side I got other things to do.

If you don't want to place weight on the quotes of the CEO perhaps quotes from people who have actually tested GlassWare 2.0 and customers who have actually used it might mean something, as should the growing list of Sphere 3D partnerships & deals. Here's some of it to chew on:

Laura Didio, tech reviewer tested GlassWare and said: " it does everything it claims to do. Sphere3D Glassware 2.0 & V3 Appliances are all excellent."

Simon Bramfitt says: "both Glassware and V3 have a genuinely new take on the business of getting Windows applications (Glassware) and Windows desktops (V3) in front of end-users."

Dustin Hardin, Director of Technology of New Caney ISD, a current Glassware customer said: "We tried traditional virtualization techniques but the specific applications we needed couldn't virtualize or wouldn't scale. With our Glassware 2.0 enabled Dell(TM) server, we were able to virtualize the applications we needed and future proof our investment in Chromebooks for our students."

Paul Shumway, Senior Vice President of Novarad said: "We have tested many of today's leading virtualization technologies and have looked at a number of potential solutions; none were able to deliver the simple migration to virtualization and incredible performance that we get from the Sphere 3D approach to virtual computing. The first time we saw our products run on Glassware 2.0, we were sold."

Vibhor Kapoor, Director, Microsoft Azure Product Marketing said “By working closely with Sphere 3D, we are able to continue to deliver on that commitment and provide a new level of flexibility for organizations looking for scalable application delivery from the cloud.”

Bryan Bleil, vice president of online technology implementation at Pearson. “We welcome Glassware 2.0 into the TestNav Qualified program as a technology provider that shares our goal for enhanced learning capabilities through technology adoption.”

Ben, This is not helpfull at all. First you said NOT the company is telling what this tech can do, it's interpretation of others. Now struftepete gives you what the company says. And this is your reaction?

Something does not add up here. Your posts are living proof that independent thinking is possible. Members want a discussion with you. But it's clear you do not allow an open and honest discussion.

What are you doing here? Making a fool of yourself? You take a stand about something you didn't even study first hand? As a professor? You tell you don't invest in ANY, and wouldn't be long or short. You are posting this on a forum where longs rule...go away and find a forum where short's rule and tell them the same!

I'm sure you are not an independent member, you get payed for posting here, tell us how much you get. So we know how desperate shorts are. I guess very desparate with al the good news flooding.
