My thinking is along following lines:
Companies that lease solar panels are losing money (in the short term) due to the nature of business models. Companies that sell solar panels/solutions shouldn't lose money. They should make money. And if they lose money on every project they should stop taking on negative margin projects. And if they can't figure out they are doing negative margin projects quarter after quarter after quarter they deserve to suffer drop in value.
I think one of the big problems is their project all over the country. It's hard to leverage workforce/efficiencies/economies of scale. I'd rather they focus in one region, then same crews and same sales people can bring much more revenue per employee.

For example, what's up with cancellation of potential projects? Just outsource projects to another solar company, don't be greedy, make 1% of total project value just picking your nose etc. But don't just cancel it! So much effort for naught! No wonder they don't have new sales -- I bet you all their sales people quit
