I understand what you are saying, it is similar to the banking problem going on in the USA.

If the quantity of MJ being sold in Vancouver is accurate, they are loosing about 150K in TAX's every single day which equates to about 50 Million Dollars a year in tax's. Doesn't seem fair to the law abiding tax payers of this country.

At the very least, in a democratic society, citizens oporating a business in the private sector must have an equally regulated operating structure. Tweed is being an excellent corporate citizen by following the rules and observing the due process of the courts in as far as regulations go. On an equal level, the Lps win every time because of scale, quality, professionalism and social licence. Town want them there and like how they operate. Mmar acting like al capones wont cut it. Even liquor stores , production and distribution is regulated. they are higher than cannabis if they think
there will be anything but strict
regulations. Even Liberal Vancouver, pot paradise is getting more strict because mmar capones are abusing their social licence.

In the end I think that's what will cause a crack down, so many businesses starting up to run in this sector that eventually they will reach a tipping point and piss a lot of people and other businesses off.

It wouldn't surprise me if that's what the government is hoping for. Get the public angry at the dispensaries. When they do crack down they will have public support.
