Philo: That ridiculous sentiment, which was posted hundreds of times on RB in an attempt to get people to keep holding as the price plummeted, has caused a lot of people to lose a LOT of money.

You can't claim a loss with the IRS until you sell, but on any given day, your loss is the difference between what you paid for the stock (plus commissions) and what it is worth that day.

Why do you think it's called "stop-loss" when someone places a stop sell order for a price below the current market price?

Do you think the people who bought the stock at over $20 and are still holding really believe they haven't lost anything?
