I hear ya, but that still doesn't explain what the historical chart shows which was actually no decay. I think it's correct that in short time spans with sideways action, it shows up, but longer term with big swings it is somehow overcome.

Once UWTI gets above $5, the % swings will be bigger. Can't keep using your static values.

They will be almost spot on in these levels. But a break above 5, and you're gonna be off.
