I have also personally communicated with a student of one of the researchers of Bolt Threads and he was able to tell me that they are using Transgenic Yeast (as opposed to E.coli) to produce spider silk proteins which they can use for different applications similar to the other “spider-goo” producers.

It still doesn't guarantee their 2016 estimate....

There is reason their site isn't fully operable....

Therein lies part of the reason I believe there may be a further delay;as legal is advising them not to post any additional information for over a year now.

while it is fairly obvious that the author is not well established due to only having one article published and it being on a free e-magazine, I do not know of any incorrect information on the article itself

Nor are you aware of any further possible delays....
