As a leader JN relies on the expertise of the experts he has working under him.
He is does not come from a manufacturing background, he relays to shareholders progress that his manufacturing orientated engineers relay to him.

It does matter. I can forgive Nelson for not having the background to understand what is needed to go lab to fab.
I find it very difficult to accept the failure of the manufacturing-oriented engineers whose goals from day one was to prevent these complication from occurring. Just to be clear, If they failed to produced any product that happens, but they are stating they our stating that they have produced a product that means all their goals and one of their goals was easy transition to the manufacturing process.
Nelson has shown to be a good soldier and fell on his sword for the honor of his team.
