#6337 RE: 1OFHIS #6335

May I ask you something:

"Did you ever stop and consider that the Holy Spirit uses other believers to instruct you or do you believe that the moment you become a Christian you know everything?"

1OFHIS,

I know I'm a little late coming into thing thing, and I might be beating a dead horse, but what it sounds like is that there is some... discussion as to the judgmental standards upon Jews and non-Jews, if Jews will be held to a different than those who are not Jewish.

Here are some more verses to back up your point of view, which, I believe, co-incides with the Word of God:

Romans 2:11- For there is no respect of persons with God.

Ephesians 6:9- And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

1 Peter 1:17- And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

God does not distinguish between the Jew and the Greek because He does not necessarily see people as Jewish or Greek/Gentile/non-Jewish. What will be the final determinant in the end is whether or not people have put their trust in Him for salvation.

While in the Old Testament, salvation was meant for those who were of Jewish bloodline, those who chose to trust in the Lord became Jews. 2 women that immediately come to mind are Rahab and Ruth.

Rahab was originally from Jericho, not Jewish at all. She was saved because she hid the spies and because she knew their God was real.

Likewise Ruth, a Midianite, returned with her mother in law. She was no brought up to believe in God, but she converted: Ruth 1:16- And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

BTW, a little side note: both of these women are in the lineage of Christ.

Here's my point. While God does not respect people, His heart, I believe, is with the Jewish people. That's what the Tribulation is for. While the Lord does pour our His wrath upon the earth, you need to remember, too, that it is so that the Jews are turned back to Him. And it happens. Revelation records it.

We do not need to become Jewish to believe. Those who believe are one before the Lord.
