There is no Santa Claus in finance,, Either the Arb had a lay off or a markup that charged enough of a spread to make it a good risk.. One thing that is for sure,, if you had news the chances were that the ARB has the same news.. When I sat on a desk and did ARB's with Canadian stocks in many cases our order flow was greater than Canada.. The same goes for South Africa in any BULL market.. In down markets it's hard to put the Gennie back in the bottle and the same with selling stock back to the country where it came from.. hank
