Welllllll, Investopedia doesn't agree with you:

DEFINITION of 'Market Capitalization'
The total dollar market value of all of a company's outstanding shares. Market capitalization is calculated by multiplying a company's shares outstanding by the current market price of one share.


Most people would judge a stock by the price they can sell it for, but then again most people never heard of dilution insurance. I couldn't even get a hit on it when I searched. Apparently some type of outlier terminology just like the alternative definition of market cap.
