lmorovan,
the way I see it and understand it, and based on the premise you present, "man" was created to die.
I could not disagree with you more. God did not ever intend for man to die. He knew that mankind would sin, but that was not His desire.
The presence of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil and the Tree of life, in the Garden of Eden were a sure sign that, eventually, man will take the fruit.
Not at all. God knew that man would take of the fruit, but He left the tree there as a test. As long as Adam and Eve did not take of the fruit, they were proving their love for God over the desire to take the forbidden fruit. The fact that they refused it for a while was showing God their love and obedience for Him.
Can you imagine what would have happened if Eve would have tasted the fruit of the Tree of Life and then the other fruit? Mankind would have been living eternally in a state of sin.
I disagree. I think God probably would have wiped out mankind and started over. We know He did not, but as much as we serve an awesome and holy God, we also serve a just and righteous God. I do not think He would have allowed mankind to live eternally in sin. That is why there was death after the Fall. We know that death is a consequence of sin:
Romans 5:12- Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Romans 6:23- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
I honestly think that God would have killed mankind and then started over. But since He didn't, I don't think we need to know what would have, should have, or could have happened. Only God knows what He would have done.
