Vortex Patents Pending Until UL Approval?

After the UL review there likely would be some Vortex design changes that would need to be incorporated in the "final" Vortex patents.

I'm just using common sense here as to why any current Vortex patents would still be "pending" and not final. Why would GNGR go to the expense of getting "final" patents for a product which has not even been through UL review? Just saying...
