Thks, for the heads up on Fergy… For some reason I thought he was still a player with the team.

On a positive note, I’m reminded about this companies potential daily, as I still own and use my MPX-100. I think it’s a wonderful product although I also own a 30Gig iPod video. The Apple media interface application is second to none, simple well organized and flexible. Kids are up and running with this program in seconds.
When e.Digital launched the MPX-Series of products, I believed that they were dead on so I invested with them.

They had a workable sales and distribution plan, and started off pretty well I thought. Off to sale we went…
The units sold OK, but unfortunately they also came back, and herein lies the problem.
Apparently the products weren't really of merchantable quality and reliability, and when you’re in bed with a mass merchant it’s a dreadful experience if your product fails.
Exit stage right… Plan B). Sell on the internet. Oopps still doesn’t work too many returns, and the cost of capturing new customers... "Where’s our audience"
Plane C) There was no plan C.
Next… Move everything away from retail and focus on OEM business. (Follow Rio’s direction). If it breaks let the supplier worry about it. Not e.Digital’s problem,
So long as the design is sound.
It was a sound business plan, just poorly executed.

eDigital has the potential, but maybe that’s all they have. One might expect that they would address past failures, grow from the mistakes and improve things for the better, but not I’m not sure even if they had the will, that they have any time remaining on the clock.

This legal situation could be the final straw.
One can only hope they can negotiate a clean resolution, and perhaps collaborate with digEcor on it’s future programs as digEor’s in-house development partner. Then I see a future for eDigital. Otherwise I don’t know.
