You must have never acquainted yourself with the Delldrive capability Glassware 2.0 enhanced in conjunction with VMware hypervisor.
It seemed clear to me that Glassware improved/facilitated the hypervisor performance of VMware in Delldrive, but didn't need the hypervisor existence to provide it's capability for a more independent, simplistic and radically enhanced format of Glassware 2.0 to provide a better computing experience.
This is a conversation I had on Ihub a couple of days ago and with friends this weekend. The essence of the substantial (for me anyway) bet I have made is that containers (microvisor) will replace the hypervisor.
They are completely different. One could think of the hypervisor as Cloud 1.0 where as Containers Cloud 2.0. Much leaner and more functionality. I can think of a certain company with a $37 Billion market cap that has everything to lose if containers replace the Hypervisor.
