I would Take chemo any day before some drug that alters my immune system.
Maybe you are right, particularly if you are in a situation with a good chance of decent life expectancy.
But for many who are "walking dead" (sorry), they really prefer the drug that does not have the immediate side effects. They would rather enjoy their remaining time. That is why it is not uncommon to decline chemoe treatment.
BTW, does your statement refer to all drugs that alter your immune system?
