I hope so, after reading with more time it could be a little bit threatening (but I am agree with you).

Electric, Are you positive these new MOSFETS will work with IPWR's technology? If so, you're spot on, we could just purchase them from CREE. That might reduce the size of our converters even more. If that can be done.

If on the other hand, they will not work with our technology, they may offer some steep competition from OEM's who choose to use them.

I simply don't have the smarts and/or wherewithal to know for sure, as this isn't my area of expertise. One thing I do know is the DD that I've conducted so far as just an average Joe Shmoe leads me to believe that this is the only thing that I've been able to find out there that even has a chance of holding a candle to IPWR's technology at this point. Dan Bdar, I believe in their most recent quarterlies publicly stated that he is also unaware of anything even remotely similar to their technology as well.

In any event, definitely something to keep an eye on.

Is there anyone else out there with a little more knowledge than myself who can shed some further light on this issue?

EU: Perhaps I am unclear as to what a mosfet is or what you are saying, but from the last CC: "The bidirectional switches are silicon-based devices that are expected to enable us to increase our product efficiency from 96.5% to an excess of 98%. Also each bidirectional switch will take the place of what is done today with four conventional devices such as IGBTs and diodes.

What I take from the above is that the new bd switches are not IGBTS but silicon. Who is to say they are not equal or superior to the CREE product.

I welcome any clarification.
