Welcome to the board. I am not going to say that I am a scholar, but I believe that mankind has been on this planet for thousands, not millions of years. What do you think?

Welcome Jonny, I am certainly not a scholar but my belief is that the Bible is the word of God and as such His word should be accepted as fact. Looking backwards in time Jesus was on the earth approximately 2000 thousand years ago. Two thousand years before Jesus a covenant was given to Abraham and two thousand years before Abraham God created Adam and Eve the first man and woman.

Therefore using Biblical chronology man is approximately 6000 years on this earth.
