Hold on a minute! I was so wrapped up in the other wackiness in that collection that I didn't even notice this bit:
"As a matter of accounting you see those same notes on the quarterly."

How confused does an investor have to be to think that notes that they believe have been converted into equity would continue to appear on the balance sheet as debt?

I believe that's the accounting version of having one's cake and eating it, too.
