Sodium borohydride also works and was reported to have the highest energy density of any direct fuel cell ever, recently in UBC research led by Professor Elyod Gyenge at UBC, published in a UK science journal after the UK patent was issued, when tested with the Mvtg-MRFC-fuel cells.
