We are still looking for a retirement property that suits her, but it isn't like we don't have a place to live. She has the condo and i have 2 houses in town, 1 that my mom is in. I have a nice apt in that basement i can use when i want or when needed. Mom's 94 this year and needs some attention. I have some nursing help hired, but not 24 hour so its a bit of a concern. I think I'll be there a fair bit more now. I just need to get some internet in and stock up the bar.
It seems like she's in no rush, so I see a lot of B&Bs in my future as we look around for a spot. I just don't want to be spending/killing time in a city I've come to hate.
I'll do some travelling for now and see what happens. I want to go out west and see my kid. She is a bit home sick and probably broke by now. That trip will cost me.
