doni: If we assume that he can come up with enough cash to exercise his options he may have enough stashed away to cover the tax nut as well. Let's just be thankful that the price of and the prospects for the stock made it worthwhile for him to pull the trigger. Better still, that he's in a position to exercise his $1 options in the not too distant future.
