think problem is you guys got nothing to do in winter. In western states lots of people do winter sports. Plus we need snow to feed our lakes/rivers, water is not abundant here. Maybe 4-5 years ago some areas here got 80 ft of snow and people out east are freaking out over 100 inches lol
Footage in this video is from a couple mountains I snowboard most. See those guys jumping cliffs? 8 ft of fresh powder and it doesn't matter if you crash, its like falling on pillows. This year it was just not happening, one day I tried going down some of that crazier terrain and was frightened. Cliffs, jagged rocks and ice is no fun. Thats why we love snow.
