They both agreed the companies or a company need to be capitalized in order to not pose risk to tax payers. But I think Lew doesn't want to pull the trigger, he keeps saying congress needs to do it. Personally Lew needs to grow some balls and just do it.

THe only reason that the hate the GSE's is because it's such an embarrassment....There's really no way for them to save face other that to release them ASAP...because the results of Discovery WILL most likely sink a LOT of peoples careers and not to mention their wealth and standing

Thanks, Zeph! It figures that it's Corker (ironic) that asks the question I have had. Would they at any point give the GSE's sifi designation? Sifi designation means they get extra scrutiny by this fairly new committee (FSOC) that Lew is chairman, and Yellen and Watt are also voting members.
