Should would like to know something about their target population, sampling frame, etc.....
Ahh, yes -- that's always the question in surveys: who did they actually get to answer?
I'd love to see Apple's moves in architecture and boot-loaders increase the fraction of buyers who think Apple; in fact, I believe it's likely, especially as Apple's position on (or third-party support for) multiboot becomes clearer. However, I've not seen many instances of what might be called "data" to support this theory. Someone a while ago surveyed students about buying plans and reported a huge increase in addressable market associated with MS/OS booting on Apples, but then, are the students driving the purchases and are the universities actively steering folks into machines supplied under exclusive contracts?
