Since the T/A is gagged and Looter ain't talking how can you base your decision making on a total unknown?

If I'm buying a used car (sight unseen) and want to know the year and mileage (two critical elements to determine value/price) and the seller refuses to answer, then I should just assume that it's a 3 year old car with 20K miles because that's what I want it to be?
