I would like to also thank you for the engaging posts. I am a mere business guy, so your medical perspective as a practitioner is most apt for our discussions and considerations. It does everyone well to consider the range of perspectives that influence the market environment Elite seeks to compete within. Please continue to weigh in, and regularly.

Physicians are more and more being the man caught in the middle. Between insurance carriers and government (and I include Law Enforcement in all its forms). They have to make some tough choices as to which master they will serve. Do you treat the patient as you see fit or do you "cut and run" when your decisions move you clearly into what is against the law/regulations/ paid for. As you mention, the ADT should make the tight rope easier to walk but until legislatures give back some of the independence to treat as physicians see fit, the job is only going to get harder. There is already talk from the "Ivory Towers" that ADTs are not the main answer to the scourge of drug abuse (but they will become an important part). The fog of war on drugs will continue to get thicker before more common sense prevails. Companies like Elite will be part of the some of the new solutions. I am on board and waiting to see if the FDA will be a help or be part of the problem. Not just patients are waiting but physicians too.
