"About Dr. Charles Loprinzi..."???

Great guy! Yeah, I remember his calmare trial from last year:

sham controlled too

Of course, FORTY per cent of the patients REFUSED to have further treatments and TEN per cent reported an "adverse event" -- "achiness, fatigue and heaviness in bilateral lower legs" -- so he ended up LOSING FIFTY per cent of his subjects!

And "Analgesic Use Over Time" -- if I'm interpreting the strange table correctly -- either didn't change or INCREASED.

And he certainly didn't meet MISTER Marineo's standard of near "zero" pain after the first treatment.

He did manage to demonstrate, nevertheless, courtesy of of "Mcnemar's test," that the calmare is definitely NOT inferior to sham therapy! Well, thank goodness for SMALL favors, huh?

He supposedly has more results due soon:

insurance companies could care less

Unfortunately, despite doing ALLEGEDLY 150 patients, third party reimbursers won't give a HOOT since the study is NOT randomized, blinded, and controlled.

But evidently, he's not too impressed with calmare (small wonder, huh!) since he started TWO other studies since last summer on OTHER treatments for chemo related pain:

pregabalin

minocycline

Hmmmmmmm...I'm beginning to see why neither Loprinzi nor Mayo nor ANYONE associated with Mayo have bought any calmares!
