ARTICLE on Chlorine Dioxide

Of particular interest is the Conclusion which not only outlines the benefits but shows a time-line of 190 minutes which is the same as the minimum 180 minutes recommended by Blau Aire. It would appear that the Blau Aire Turbo System was thoroughly researched.-TB

Conclusion
"The results from these studies indicate that when chlorine dioxide gas is introduced into a 2700 ft3 room using the CD generation system under the operating conditions specified, a > 5-log reduction in B. subtilis spores can be achieved. The results of the runs were successful. The rooms were completely decontaminated with a short cycle time of 190 minutes. BIs throughout the room, as well as on the feed bag and inside the ventilation chambers on the racks, demonstrated successful sporicidal reduction.
The rapid growth in the use of gaseous chlorine dioxide for room decontamination is fueled by its many benefits. Its primary advantages are that it is a true gas at normal use temperatures. This enables it to get into crevices and other hard to reach areas because, as a true gas, it quickly and evenly distributes at the same concentration throughout the room. Another plus related to its gaseous properties is that it will not condense out in colder areas and have reduced concentration in warmer areas as occurs with vapors such as hydrogen peroxide. A third plus related to its gaseous properties is that it is quicker to aerate since it does not need to transition from a condensed vapor back into the vapor state before it can be effectively removed. Chlorine dioxide gas can also be accurately monitored using a UV-VIS spectrophotometer. This ensures true process control of the decontaminating agent's concentration."
