That's a wide spread: Ask/Bid $7.73/6.25. About what I'd expect. Bond (and pfds) are generally not very liquid.

BTW, I presume you understand that bonds are traditionally quoted in relation to $100 so that $7.73 actually means $77.30 per $1,000 face value per bond.
