longy, oh, so you called the Trademark Office too? Well, all I know is what the Trademark Office told me. Until GRCU files the "Statement of Use," their application for the Trademark name "Rico Suave" is still pending. Before they can officially register their Trademark, they have to file that statement.
But then again, I was talking to the Trademark Office - what do they know, right? I will call tomorrow and speak to them again and I will tell them what you posted. Maybe they have a rule where they let them use the name Rico Suave until they file the Statement of Use...even though a lot of time has gone by.
It just seems kind of strange that they haven't filed a "Statement of Use" form, which means GRCU has to tell the Trademark Office what they are using it for, but yet the Trademark Office doesn't care if they start using Rico Suave. Sounds like putting the cart before the horse.
Don't worry, whatever I find out, I'll be sure to post it. After all, I'm not aware of what you posted, that's why I called. By the way, exactly where did you find out this info:
"They were granted the use of the name after the waiting period That came in January. Anyone who has been here awhile knows this.
After the the trade name is used which it is, they will be granted the trademark."
