That makes a lot of sense. Knowing Berger's ego, which unfortunately determines his poor decisions, he would certainly like to get out with a modicum of dignity (in addition to his obscene golden parachute).

Probably already has one (White Knight)...since he (Dr. Berger) doesn't seem to be that agitated at Alex's proxy vote challenge. I could live with that merger...Berger with his deep understanding of the value of the company, and whatever Alex is good at...maybe by buying more shares, or getting his hedge crew to buy'em up!!
