So ironic that you do not 'Cee-it.' You state:

"the longer term future seems to be favoring Spiber."

First of all, you have no proof of this. Second, even IF Spiber succeeded, who cares? Do you honestly feel KBLB is going to be the only company out there? Be serious.

There will be room for others, since the space is so gigantic. Plus, KBLB's silk/fibers will be as cheap if not cheaper than anyone else's.

My money is on KBLB, and it always will be. KBLB is more respected around the world than Spiber. Want proof? Vietnam invited KT there, not one representative from Spiber.

Response: You're assuming that the Spiber process yields the same quantity of product; however, their published articles suggest that the processes AFTER the spinning of the cocoon will actually substantially increase the amount of the product.

Not sure where you got this idea but it makes sense that if they takw 100 cocoons and add 10 cocoons worth of spider protein they will have 110 cocoons worth of product

The difference is...
they need to process the 100 cocoons first
Then produce the 10 cocoons worth of spider protein.
Then do the processing and spin the fiber of 110 cocoons

And they need to do it for the cost of 10 silkworms to be even with KBLB

It is obvious that if they add 10% they get 10% more. That 10% costs them any and all profits compared to KBLB
