"Sorry, ZERO-guys & gals, we have to wait for one engineer to tell his bosses that he/she's READY to risk his/her employment on a recommendation to SIGN THIS CONTRACT. "

Seriously? 75% reduction in power would take this decision out of the hands of your engineer type manager. It would be adopted on day 2. Why are so many excuses made on the behalf of management?

Shrimclim and Shi and the bomb

well, I do understand any of that inherent conservatism and
caution,,

but I was more thinking about the likes of the
more liberal and conspicuous Mr Kinder...who might be
just the perfect person to provide some kind of bomb

As I understand it, Kinder Morgan are a very different
bunch/ ethos to work with ..much more relaxed than the
pedants at Trans Canada..so why shouldn't they be the ones
to let the world know
about the exciting future.. in any appropriate terms ??

Not everyone has to work and publicise like Trans C - and
TC has been re-assured of getting the best possible terms
so they lose nothing by being silent

and I fail to understand or believe that the only
statement about a contract would have to deal with or
reflect all the details - whether those details are worked
out or not. Those can be for another day.

Tao has said it his way...why can't someone else say
it in a commercial way ??
