Assuming the vote is in favor of the Reverse Split, you will have 1,000 shares at 100 time the price. Say you have 100,000 shares at .006 - a $600 investment. After the reverse split, you will have 1000 shares at 60 cents - also a $600 investment.

My understanding of the upside of this is that investors who won't touch sub-penny stocks might actually take a look at a stock with a $.60 price. Hopefully, some would invest in the company and its technology, and drive the price higher, making everyone money.

It also provides an opportunity for less responsible management to start selling shares at the higher price (dilution), making money for themselves, but driving the price back down to its pre-split price, killing the original shareholders along the way. (In our example, now you would have 1000 shares at .006, turning your $600 into $6.)
