It could be an ego thing for Vic, but Frank did say they were interviewing new board members for purely the reason of "getting someone with more business sense" on the board. Think of this potential knew board member as the Spider from Game of Thrones. If Vic is just a puppet I am okay with that, but the trick is to find someone with enough sense to pull the strings.
