I wonder where they are with Gen 3 technical though....

That, I don't know.

Based on the cost involved in the development, I would assume that they are putting that on the back burner for the time being. I did contact Ben a few months back with an idea for how they could go about implementing Gen 3 it at a lower cost. He said he would forward on to Kim, but I am unsure if Kim used the info or is planning on using the info.
