Typically that is only a problem if your account is under 25,000.

3x--then you wil have to open a marin account.

You also can't buy and sell and buy and sell within 3 days the same stock because you will be trading on unsettled funds.

m I did that 3x and alsomst got halted.

Margin acconts require oyu to have 25K in it
