To me, not being a techie though, that article sounds like they are approaching the cloud solution from a "patch", "upgrade" or "piecemeal" perspective. They keep mentioning cloud applications... LOL. GW does it all, and isn't a cloud application but a cloud platform!

For instance:
"Today, however, cloud apps are rapidly evolving toward a new era where they can be built, deployed, updated, and monitored holistically."

Evolving? Really? GW already has the solution! Cloud apps? Why when there is GW to run whatever software you have?

Another:
"At Microsoft, we’re leading the way (LOL) in ensuring customers can compose cloud applications from any service we offer — from VMs to containers to virtual networks, storage, PaaS services, and more — and yet be able to develop, verify, deploy, debug, update, and monitor these cloud applications as a single holistic entity."

This last bit sounds so fragmented to me. And archaic... Maybe I just don't understand all this stuff but GW seems to allow anyone to run anything on anything without all this "verifying, deploying, DEBUGGING, updating..." etc...

the question for all ANY investors is still: is GW embedded in W10?
