?!! I'd have thought they would be much more likely to use Imagination's graphics which already have x86 drivers and which would also be all ready to stick into a SoC like that.

Ouch, at 1GHz even Silvermont will only be on par with ~1.5GHz ARM A9 cores.

At first I thought that was the Base clock and Turbo exists for higher, but then I read this:

Intel estimates that SoFIA 3G SoCs will be 2.5 times slower in single-threaded CPU intensive tasks, and more than 3 times slower in multi-threaded tasks than the Z3735D. SoFIA 3G graphics performance is also going to be more than 3 times slower.

Z3735D wasn't exactly blazing.
