#139397 RE: Golfbum #139394

I have three monitors plugged into my Intel branded MB. Two are daisy chained via DisplayPort 1.2 and a third is via DVI. The two on DP are 1920x1080 and the older DVI one is 1920x1280.

IIRC there are DP to DVI dongles.

Yes but there is an invisible border.
Try to connect a 2560x1440 lcd with an hdmi-cable - it will downscale to a 1920 x 1200 resolution.

For every resolution bigger then 2000 you need dvi dual-link or display-port not daisy-chained.

I have a Geforce GTX650 in my pc.
And I already had to replace with a GTX650 from another pc because one dvi-Port was starting to flicker.
With a 1920 resolution it was no problem.

The production tolerances (signal to noise) of the connectors are quite tricky.

I will test a 4k-dual-monitor in the next couple of month but I think that I have to upgrade the gfx-card.
