I usually do not post much but does anyone remember FIT_X from last year around this time??
The stock was trading under a penny (.009 ish) and then the BOD announced a 1 for 5 Forward split (meaning on the EX dividend date) you would get one extra company "common" share for every 5 shares you owned.
It was sheer brilliance and even after the ex date, the share price even fell about half (due to MM gravity and it took time to get the facility built and maybe lack of interest, who knows, who cares....from about .009 PRE ex date to like .005 before the stock took off from a cascading series of PR's) and well the rest is history and you all know what happened to the price of FIT_X's at it height.....I think it went to better than 10 cents/share but because of the extra free shares, I personally had over 100K EXTRA shares I could also sell into the open market (at any time) because there was no "hold" (restriction) period on them.
Some people sold immediately and were happy to get out at close to a penny / share.... while others like myself held on for months and then sold near the top of the run.
I think what we are seeing here is something similar and hopefully, when the dividend is actually declared, there is no restriction placed on when you can sell those dividends.
The brilliance of the move was that more and more people bought the under lying security, FIT_X and held on for the ride and what an incredible ride it was and it would still be going if not for some hurtles that FIT_X has run into over the past months or so up in Canada...... but that's another story for that thread.
Point is people: KNOW what YOU own........... and do not be scared off by those 3 or 4 people posting here whose job it is to tell you "the sky is falling". You know who they are and that is why you have an "ignore" feature available to you as a poster. Once you use it to block these 4 people, this entire thread becomes so much more tolerable to read. Try it, you'll like it.
