Yes, as we've discussed before, it's the phenomenon of "compounding gains" on a fairly straight ride up of oilprice that would terrifically benefit UWTI holders. But if we get a lot of volatility, the decay/slippage phenomenon will really undermine much of the gains on UWTI. And given recent history, and the opinion from the expert agencies, i think there's a greater chance of a volatile ride back up than a non-volatile one.

I suppose my main point on these boards is that one must be careful about being overly confident of any one outcome, whether bullish or bearish. There are SO MANY VARIABLES that can ruin an over-confident assessment.

the rise back to $100 (if any time soon at all) will not be as dramatic as the fall down. if so, great but doubtful.
