Yes an owner would prefer the $10 option. My concern is how unique is their patent? Is Viscount first to the gate, or are there a lot of similar patents already approved? Is this different from wireless telemetry all that much? Sensors on a chip? Isn't everybody and their brother already filing similar patents or is this really unique? The promise of automated homes has been around for 15 years now..surely there are all kinds of patents in that area, and many working with smart phones..I'm speculating here, I don't know but it just seems likely.
