He had nothing to lose...if he never planned on coming back, or at least seriously entertaining the idea, he could have made hundreds of thousands or millions pumping his shares, and then heading off into the sunset.
Clearly the illiquid nature of the stock as well as the declining volume points to a distrust at the time of Chinese companies.
I think he comes back, he has too much determination to see something fail.
