Granted, the sketchy information is insufficient to inspire confident in the thesis and, of course, we will never know for sure but...my latest take is this:
It was one person who precipitated this. The reasons were "macro" (having nothing to do with the stock per se) that I choose not to get into right now.
Furthermore, nc4s provided perninent information about another small biotech with the same pattern, slightly earlier that same day, a pull out of a large number of shares, all at once.
Conclusion: In both cases, I think we are talking about the same one investor. And I think that investor was foreign, someone not residing in the United States.
